Is Exercise Important?

Is exercise important? Or, I am on my ideal weight; is exercise important for me? Or, I am on ideal weight; why should I exercise?

Doing exercise is important when I need to lose weight or I want to have a big body (Bodybuilders), this is what majority of us thinks? (Please Read it till end, It’s Important)

Few popular benefits of exercise

-   Exercise helps our body in releasing Endorphins. (Endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain and “in short” gives a positive feeling (happiness) in the body.)

-  Exercise Improves your

      o    Body Shape

      o    Muscle Tone

      o    Flexibility

-  Exercise Strengthens our Bones

-  Exercise reduces the chances of Illness

-  Exercise Increases our life Expectancy

-  Exercise helps us to feel better about ourselves

-  Exercise Increases our Self-Confidence

-  Exercise helps us socially also, to meet few “New”, “Good Looking” & “Healthy People” around us to get motivated.

Few less popular benefits of exercise

-   Our body needs energy and here is the equation for you for easy understanding.

Glucose + Oxygen = Carbon Dioxide + Water + “Energy”

Glucose -> What we intake (especially carbs/Sugar etc.)

Oxygen -> What we Inhale brings oxygen from the environment inside us.(O2)

Carbon Dioxide -> What we Exhale, CO2 from inside of us to the Environment(which tree inhales for making their own food)

Energy -> With What a Human Being can do anything (including Climbing Mount Everest).

-   If we improve Oxygen Intake in the above Reaction then this process becomes more efficient. EXERCISE helps in that.

-   Red Blood Cells carries Oxygen to the Cells,With Aerobic Exercise your Body makes more Red Blood cells so it can transport more Oxygen to Trillions of Human Body Cells.

-   Heart beats faster and pumps blood around the body more quickly, this provides your body (especially muscles) more Oxygen

-   Now muscles have more oxygen to make more energy, this allows muscles to work harder.

-   Muscles get thicker when you exercise (by 'Hypertrophy Effect'); thicker muscles can contract forcefully so they do not have to work hard (and we all know our heart is also a muscle. So, let us give our heart some relief.

-   Arteries get bigger and more stretchy when we exercise; this lowers the blood pressure.

-   More capillaries form in your muscles when you exercise; this allows oxygen to be delivered faster.

-   Recovery Time (RT) reduces with consistent exercise.

-   The diaphragm and the intercostal muscle get stronger whey you exercise; these make your chest cavity larger when you breathe in. This means you can get more oxygen into your body.

Last but not the least

- EXERCISE can help you in Losing both weight and body fat

- EXERCISE can help you in building a bigger, stronger, powerful, muscular body

Maybe it’s kind of confusing (above mentioned terms), but yes these are few of the benefits from the long list of “Benefits of Exercise”.

So, let’s EXERCISE (anywhere in park, home, terrace, gym or any fitness center) but Exercise.
